Madame Madeline haul.

When buying fake lashes, I always buy them from Madame Madeline unless they're the China lashes that are like 40 for £4. I prefer to buy Red Cherry lashes because I like the variety of styles that there is and they're all a decent price.

I was in need of some bottom lashes to match my spikey top lashes that I made and I also wanted some more softer 'natural' lashes so that I can do a soft Gyaru look sometimes.

I chose lashes that I've previously had before such as the 747XS that I've bought and reviewed previously here
These are the lashes I wore ages ago as bottom lashes when I was in college and first trying out bottom lashes.
I was looking at bottom lashes but they look really sparse and I wanted something with a lot more fullness so this happened.

I also bought my same spikey lashes #28 cause they look great with my spikey lashes that I made. I use these for bottom lashes so I'm not sure what they look like on top lashes. They're basically the lashes I wear on bottom when I have big lashes on.

I went for something a bit different with these pair of lashes. I like kind of spaced out lashes so I thought these would be perfect. I'm yet to try them on but hopefully they look good with my #747XS.

I also bought more DUO glue because I go through the stuff like crazy! I got the bigger size this time because it was on offer for $5.89 (£3.48)

Madame Madeline is an American website so everything is in US Dollars. Make sure that you have a converter handy when shopping!

I made my order on the 10th June and I recieved them today, 18th June which I think is pretty quick seeing as they came from America.

Each pair of lashes were $2.50 (£1.48) so that's $13.39 (£7.90) for the whole lot which is pretty decent! I also found a coupon code online that gave me 10% off so I paid $12.05 (£7.11) and $9 (£5.31) shipping.

So in total I paid $21.05 (£12.43) which for 3 pairs of lashes and a big tube of lash glue is very affordable.

I also recieved a card with a coupon code on that gives you 8% off your order and a free gift if you purchase $20 or more. The code is falsies.

How to bleach dark roots with minimal damage.

Ugh it's that time again, time to do my roots! My hair is naturally dark brown/black. My roots grow to about an inch and a half every 2 months so I do them roughly every 2 months.

It's a ball ache to do my roots but I've found a particular method on how to bleach them with very minimal damaging. COCONUT OIL!! I have always have a pot to hand just for that little bit of shine and conditioning when my hair is a tad lack luster.

Anyways, what you do is saturate your roots or wherever you're going to bleach with coconut oil and then run the excess through the lengths. Like you want it to look like you've dipped your head in a fryer. Let that sit in for at least 1 hour.

I usually whack a carrier bag on my head along with a towel wrapped around it to keep in the heat and then I go to sleep with it. Do not wash out the coconut oil. Apply the bleach right on top of it!

Then I apply the bleach to my hair by taking small sections across starting from the nape of my neck to the front of my head. I use TruZone 30vol developer and the TruZone blue powder bleach and leave it for roughly 1 hour or 45 minutes and it looks like this
It's like an orangey/yellow colour. I need it to be lighter so that the colours are more vibrant. So I waited for my hair to dry and then re-did my coconut oil on the roots and waited for 1 hour and then used 30 vol bleach for 30 minutes to get this result.

This is more of a light blonde but there are still some brassy tones so I used PRO-VOKE Touch of Silver shampoo. I left it on for roughly half an hour so that my hair went platinum.

This is the result afterwards.
I then wait for my hair to dry and then put on my dye!
This time I used Manic Panic in the Colours Ultra Violet and Green Envy. In my opinion, they're the same as Directions dye but cost £10 and they both last the same.

I hope this helps someone!

Powder before foundation?

So, Wayne Goss is an MUA who does videos on YouTube, I absolutely love his videos! I love that he loves Julia Davis and does impressions of her in some of his videos. One of his recent videos is a foundation tip. The tip is to apply powder before your foundation but after your moisturiser for a matt finish and to extend your makeup wear much longer. I thought I'd try it out and see how it worked out for me.

When I first applied my foundation at roughly 10am. I used Estee Lauder Doublewear and used Ben Nye Banana Powder underneath and a light dusting on top.

At roughly 3pm. I was a tad shiny but nowhere near as oily as I usually am at this time.
I always get more oily on my nose than anywhere else
And this is when I returned home at roughly 10/11pm. The lighting isn't too great but I was quite surprised because I wasn't as oily as I usually am after a full day of wearing makeup.

So all in all, it's a very good tip! I will be using it in future but I think that I will powder during the day with it because I did get a bit shiny and I don't like that.

Horny little devils!

So I recently bought some horns. Like I'd seen them around and all of the places that I looked for them weren't the right ones. I've always seen them in black or red  and I wanted green and purple ones to match my hair because most things that I own are purple or green. I'd seen some that were like £5+ and I'm not about that life. So I digged around on eBay and found these babies!

They are reasonably priced too (99p!) with free shipping. However, they're coming from China so they did take a while to get here. I ordered them on the 8th of March 2014 so that was 11 days ago which I think was pretty fast seeing as they were coming from China. I've sometimes had to wait a month for things to arrive from China.

Anyways, here are mine!

I ordered them in green and purple and they pretty much match my hair exactly. I ordered two pairs so that I could have 2 different colours because I wanted them to match my hair :3

The only thing that's odd about them is the clip:
I've never seen this kind of clip before so I was a tad confused but I figured it out. Just note that if you're going to use these, don't push them against your head to close the clip because it hurts a lot and it doesn't close the clasp. Just find the clasp of the clip when it's positioned in your hair and close it, it's a lot easier.

In conclusion, I really like these because they're very cute and they match my hair very well.

Purty things

Long time no blog oops.
In my spare time (like I don't have loads of it) I like to make things all glittery and whack gems on them. I started off just doing my lighters as I thought they looked really boring and I had loads of glitter and gems and stuff doing nothing.

Something that I decorated recently is a photo frame that I put a photo of me and Amy in. I made one for Amy too but it had little gems in between the hearts. I redid it twice because I didn't like how it
but here's the one that I have.

And today I did my old phone case which is like a lilac colour and looks too boring. I'd like to have a different one that's more 'appropriate' seeing as my current one is a mostly nude Bettie Page.

And one of my lighters
I keep on leaving glitter all over the place oops

I have a glasses appointment tomorrow and I want to get some new glasses. I want big square glasses like Tsukimi from Princess Jellyfish but I still want to keep my current glasses cause they're cat eye glasses

I'm still trying to get used to my giant HP mug that mum got me for Christmas. It's the equivalent of 2 cups! I have to put 2 tea bags in it and takes me like an hour to drink but I love it :3

Wednesday 5 February 2014

I had a rather lovely weekend/week.

Amy came down on Thursday so I was like ehehehehehee
I had college on the Friday so it was really nice coming home to Amy omfg best ever
We pretty much spent the whole weekend cuddling and stuff.
Amy left on the Monday and I was like nooooo at the coach stop but it's not too bad because we're seeing each other for Valentine's which is good and hopefully we're going to Manchester if I have enough money.

I also got feedback from my assignment for college and the teacher said that it was right and this it was high standard and I was like hell yeah I did level 3 ofc it's going to be gr9.

I also sold 2 of my guitars because I haven't touched them in years and I can't even play guitar so at least I have some money now :3

This girl from my flat at uni just re-added me on Facebook and it's like no. don't laugh about me outside my own door and expect me to still like you. Like I seriously hated it there and I was honestly scared to leave my own rom, my anxiety got really bad too. Like fuck you for making me feel like that seriously.

I've been listening to a lot of A$AP and yes I am liking.

I want to not straighten my hair for a while (fringe not included) so I might put in some french plaits and wear hats and stuff idk. I seriously need to wash my hair.

Amy sprayed my bed with perfume so every now and then I get wafts of Prada ehehe :3

Blah, my first day of college

It wasn't too bad I guess. I talked to Lydia and stuff which was good. She bought me lunch though, I really hate people buying food for me.

I knew most of the stuff that they were teaching me so I was like yes gawh. A lot of people kept on complimenting my makeup throughout the college which proves that Gyaru always works! I got to to someone's face as well which was nice because people rarely let me do their makeup tbh.

I went out last night with Sam and Adam which was nice. We went to this 80's/90s club and we felt really young because we were singing Whitney Houston but Cyndi Lauper came on so Adam was happy haha. I also saw Josh from Obscure Pleasures in there and had a bit of a fangirl moment oop.

When I got in, the cat was lying on a towel and I was 'talking' to her when I was taking my makeup off which made me giggle a bit because she started meowing like she was interested.
